Cupcakes, Tex-Mex, and Tea

Austin was fun today. We managed to avoid most of the Texas game traffic, and so had a nice smooth drive in.  We stopped at the tea shop first, where I found the most amazing letter opener and tea scoop, and tea. I now own a pound of Lady Grey tea. I think I'll still be using it come next fall. Next, we stopped at the most amazing cupcake place- Hey Cupcake. They sell out of the most adorably decorated Airstream trailer in the lot next to the Hill Country Weavers. I'm not joking when I say that these cupcakes are amazing. They are incredibly delicious. Then we drove around a bit to kill time before eating at Chuy's, which I had been looking forward to since...well, since the last time I ate there. The fajitas were, as always...I've run out of adjectives. So yeah. That good. Then it was off back to Waco.

The icing (har har, see what I did thar) on today was that Baylor beat Missouri. We beat Missouri. I still can't believe it. In fact, when Dad told me that we were ahead in the 4th quarter, I thought I had fallen into an alternate universe, though the real kicker would be if a miracle happens, and we are blessed, and the sun shines in just the right way, and we beat Texas. (Though that's doubtful, looking at the beatdown Texas gave UCF today.)

So, overall, a good, if long day. I tried to get ahold of the CL who goes to Robinson, but she didn't answer the door, and she hasn't called me, even though I left a note on her door asking her to. So I don't know. I need to go to church, but I don't know how I'll get there. 11:30 PM is a little late to be calling people and asking if they can give you a ride the very next morning.

I also went to Michael's today and got Christmas decorations! I don't know why, but this year I've been so ready to get decorations and stuff up sooner than ever. So I got an adorable little tree, ornaments and lights, and I'm going to (after I go buy some "C" batteries) get it all set up. I need some Christmas cheer.

I'm running out of things to say. Tomorrow looks like a lot of studying- theory homework to finish and religion to study. Woo.
