The Mayor of Awkward City
I just gave my two week notice yesterday. Now I prepare for two of the most uncomfortable weeks of my life, filled with awkward conversations where people pretend not to be jealous and/or resentful.
The last time I went through this process, the reactions ranged from genuine well-wishing to spurned lover. It's a little sad to be leaving, but by the end of next week, I suspect I'll be eager to just be done with it.
