Food talk (I may or may not be hungry)

Yes, I finally got myself Bucatini pasta (they are known as Makkaroni in Germany) and I haven't eaten them in at least 20 years!
We actually had them in 2 different ways growing up:
Macaroni po-flotski: this is a Russian dish (my Mom was Russian) that was really popular during Soviet times. The picture in the link looks exactly how we had this, wow! So of course now I want to get minced meat in the worst way lol
✼ Makkaroni with milk and sugar: I have no idea who the hell came up with this dish in my family but it's something we would get at my aunts house. It was so good as a kid but I doubt I'll try that now. My aunt actually told me that the only thing she hated preparing for us was this sugary mess - she thought it was super gross haha.
I have a feeling I'll also look up Italian recipes to create some cool food I haven't tried yet. As a matter of fact, Bucatini originates from the Lazio (or Latium) region and Rome is it's capital. Looking forward to that since I don't know much about that particular region in general.

Yesterday I decided to defrost Sockeye Salmon for foods and this was the result:

Fettuccine with summer squash, haricot verts, the salmon and some roasted tomatoes. Omg, was this good!

I also want to make Käsespätzle soon! They are literally the German equivalent to Mac & Cheese but better. Like 10 times better. But I am biased since I grew up in Germany. I found out there's versions with Limburger cheese which I have right now. Not to stroll too much away from the topic but that cheese I got is a huge disappointment. I came home with my bag and John was in the kitchen so I showed him what I got from the German store. He saw the Limburger and made the worst face possible haha. Well, we were like, ok let's stink up the house. I opened the package and barely any smell. We tasted it and very mild flavor. John and I looked at each other and said the same thing: This is not proper Limburger! The package said "made in Wisconsin". Why the fuck is a German store selling Limburger from fucking Wisconsin? I feel like I got scammed :( I might actually complain about that but I have the feeling that the answer will be along the lines that people complained about stink. And that's what happens when people only eat American cheese which is basically plastic, yuck!

P.S.: I only get Italian pasta (Well, the Spätzle are from Germany and so are the soup noodles). De Cecco is not real pasta and the ingredients suck.

P.P.S.: Apparently I am a food snob at this point, wow lol.
