Stephen and Beth are slowly but surely turning me on to True Blood. Let's see if I can soldier on through the show from the beginning without getting too distracted by the mile-long gap in Anna Paquin's front teeth or Stephen Moyer's strung out Elvis impression.

If I like it, I like it. If I don't, I don't. The worst that can happen is I've thrown away a few hours of my day. It gets better after the first five episodes anyway, so I hear.

pls do. I think I watched like, episode 5 or 6ish? in vamps class, too, and that just turned me off to it even more. I couldn't stand how over the top the show was, like it was trying too hard just because it was on HBO and knew it could do anything. It's just sex and cursing and blood for the sake of having sex and cursing and blood, and I got really annoyed with it. Plus the acting is pretty bad. I mean, it's really bad. Like Boogeyman 2 had better actors.

Stephen and Beth admit that the first five episodes were way more focused on sex than the story, so at least I can be prepared for that. And I can promise you that there are, indeed, good actors. I can see you getting attached to the black gay guy. 8)

My vamps prof said that she stopped watching the show after like season 3 I believe because it got so ridiculous and stupid plot-wise that she was like "yep no more." Though people stopped watching SPN after s3 too because they were all butthurt about the apocalypse, so I'll take that with a grain of salt. ;[
