I've always wanted to read that, and see the movie. I've heard Kristen Stewart was seriously great in it...unfortunately I've only seen her in Twilight though, so uhh. I don't really have much to go off of I guess :|

I know. I'm so glad I saw Speak before Twilight because her role as Bella would've totally soured it for me. But there's nothing to ruin the book for you! :D

I LOVE Speak. I still haven't watched the adaptation though.

It's not bad at all! Sure, they futz around a few things here and there, but it faithfully retains most of the storyline; and, to K-Stew's credit, she did a fine job as Melinda.
