NaNoWriMo is starting to infect my brain, and it's eight months away! It only got worse after seeing this picture, which sent my imagination into a dead sprint. Thank you, Chris Meloni and Mariska Hargitay, for being so beautiful.
I'm trying to focus less on the plot details and more on the elements I want in the story this time around: surreal, near-future (not dystopian), erotic thriller. Yeah, it already sounds a little contrived, but I have plenty of time to develop it into something hopefully not sucky.
For those of you also thinking about taking the plunge into month-long novel writing madness, I want to help you along the way. Over the next few days, I'm going to compile and post NaNo resource links and inspiration to get the juices flowing. I'm even making themed playlists (tender moments, raw sex, triumph, etc.) of downloadable music in case you're like me and associate certain songs with scenes or strong emotions.
