I really don't feel like Silent Hill is a series that needs to be drawn out- sure, it has plenty of possibilities, but do they really need to be explored? Especially since it's heading more and more in the direction of being an 'EVIL TOWN WITH CREEPY MONSTERS!!' instead of something unique and carefully written.
It's really a mystery to me why Konami would keep passing something like this around; it's not like it has a simple plot that someone can just pick up and run with.

sure, it has plenty of possibilities, but do they really need to be explored?

I say no. One of my favorite things about the fandom are the theories, even if some of them seem... crackpot by comparison.

But yeah, with every new installment it's becoming more and more like a cheap horror franchise with a few shocking or taboo elements thrown in to keep it in line with past games, but lacking relevance. Blech.
