I've reached a compromise with Mom in regards to school. My original plan was to attend the tech college in town for a year to get my required classes out of the way, then move down by Dad and go to the community college to focus on my major. But she and I had a heart to heart yesterday and I've changed my mind. Instead of moving, I'll be living at home for a few more years (uugghhh) and transfer to the state university when I have enough credit hours.
Though the prospect of living here until my mid-20s or later makes my teeth ache, it makes sense. I can't afford to live on my own unless Dad wants to help me pay for a small apartment, and I doubt he will if I'm not living in Florida. I still need to break the news to him, too. Mmmaybe after I come back from spending Thanksgiving with him. ;[

On the bright side, it gives me incentive to really straighten up my room since it appears I won't be leaving anytime soon. This is what it looks like on a good day. As you can see, the walls are particularly gross (this was once my cousin's room and he drew on and dirtied up the walls), there are lots of random boxes laying around and everything is just. Horribly cluttered. But over the next few months, I'm going to save up money for renovations. Paint, new curtains, storage bins, a taller bookshelf, display racks, window repair; anything I need to really fix the place up.
I'd like to hear suggestions if you guys have them. Like, what color would really brighten up the room, what I should add or take away to make it seem less stuffy and cramped, things like that. o/ Here's a kitten for your troubles.

school, this is my room what are you doing here, to-do list, ughhh, family
