Eh, maaaybe, but she'd totally be in school. 18 would make sense for her to be in college trying to be a nurse and pulling experience hours, but 16 (which I've heard somewhere else) makes absolutely no sense. *reads her own site*
...okay weird, I've got her there at 16 as well... that makes no sense! You can't be a nurse at 16! O.o There has to be notes on Lisa for Silent Hill 1, because sometime between Alessa's 14th birthday and Alessa coming into the hospital, she turned 23 (which is her age in the info given in her official notes I believe). Now, it would make sense if she was 22 when Alessa came in, Lisa wigged after a year of taking care of her, died, and then was a zombie for the next six years.
Arg, this'll piss me off if no one thought of her age and the reality of the ability to work as a nurse. She might have been able to be a candy striper (though, I've noticed, that's usually old people), but I can't see her being anything else!

I'm looking through here and noticed just for a regular nursing diploma, it would take three years old college, but you might wanna poke a around for some more info.
