I bought a laptop today (although I'm writing this entry from my desktop) and I consider it my first real step toward moving out. It's a necessity because my bed in Arizona takes up so much floorspace that squeezing a desk in the same room would be impossible. Having a huge bed totally trumps a desk, anyway.
Right now, I'm in the midst of transferring all my important document files and pictures from this computer to my new one in a real jackass fashion: by zipping and emailing them to myself.
...And that's after picking and choosing what I think I'll really need. As for my 4k+ mp3s? Eff that. I'll make do with YouTube and Grooveshark if I've got a real bad earworm, and I enjoy buying and owning CDs.
