My Professional Advice

When you accept a job offer, don't ever call them later and say that you've received other offers and are considering them.

First of all, you've already accepted the job offer. Technically, you're already employed. When you "consider other offers", you're really just quitting without notice.

Second, consider what that says about you to your employers. The employer thinks, "Okay, did that person not understand that he/she already accepted? Do I really want to hire a person like that anyway?" This has happened twice at the company I work for. Our answer always is, "Sure, you do that. You're fired. Good luck with the other offers."

There is a time to consider offers. Once you've accepted one, that time is over.

In personal news, I'm home alone on Friday, and then doing the birthday thing with my brother Saturday. I get a raise soon. That is all.
