So yeah. I'm really liking the new Nine Inch Nails album. Although I'm hoping that Year One (slated for release in 2008) leans a little more toward the guitar-based angry/industrial metal sound, because I don't know if I can deal with the exact same thing.
And although the first single, "Survivalism", is not anywhere near one of my favorite tracks, I really like the line "I got my violence in hi-def ultra-realism".
I just hope that if there is a movie in this concept somewhere, the powers that be will opt to do a video album. If they do a straight movie, it will only succeed in being another V for Vendetta movie. How about a series of music videos that can stand alone but can also work together to form a plot? Eurythmics can't be the only ones to pull it off. If Reznor and crew can do this quickly they can succeed what Green Day started to do with American Idiot (I really thought they were gonna pull it off, but they took to long and interest dropped around the time they released a single and video for a 9 minute long song).
