I'm not one to really go spouting my political views, but I am becoming increasingly disturbed over all this Obama the Antichrist rhetoric

Well... people have been saying 'the world is going to end tomorrow' since the dawn of time... and well... so far none of them have been correct. I'm a little too tired now to think of some specific examples... but that's what Google's for, right? LOL There is a lot of buzz going around about 2012... but remember, there was about the year 2000 too. There may be a series of anomalies that will occur on 12/20/2012... but I dare say the only imminent danger comes from the human psyche... not from, say, outer space.
From a Biblical perspective... there are warnings about trying to predict the date for the 'end of the world'... yet oftentimes these endtime predictions come from Christian leaders. I mean.. you can't even watch 5 minutes of The 700 Club without being convinced that the world is ending tomorrow. To me it's mostly fear mongering. So my primary rebuttal is to reference Scripture such as Matthew 6 where we are reminded that worrying about tomorrow only distracts from what we should be focusing on today. Sure.. the end is inevitable.. but I still buy my bananas green.
