The first of hopefully many awesome weekends in Pittsburgh
So this weekend I went to Pittsburgh and let me just start by saying: Kirstie, I love you! I had such an awesome time this weekend with her. It was great getting to meet all of her friends up there. Hopefully they like me. I left on Friday and was making great time until I got caught in traffic like 20 miles out of Pittsburgh, which sucked, but I finally made it there. Kirst had just got finished with callbacks for Hair and so she was exhausted so we called it an early night.
Saturday Kirst, Brittany Morris, and myself went to the Carnegie Library which is an amazing place. I've never seen such a nice and large library. They had tons of music so I was in heaven just looking at it all. After that me, Kirstie, and her roomie Wes drank a little (well Wes drank a lot, but we'll get to that in a sec lol) and then went to the gay club Pegasus to dance since it's 18+. Well needless to say, I had a blast dancing with Kirstie since it's something that I've wanted to do for who knows how long. It was quite the experience since the guy at the door was dancing up on me and I had to drink my Amaretto Sour (yum love them!) in the back alone with all the guys since Kirst couldn't come back since she's underage. After that we went to a party, but we should've taken Wes home because he was soooo drunk, but instead Kirst didn't want him going home by himself. The party was awkward for me because it was at Kirst's ex-b/f Rob's house. Probably not the best place for me to be, but I made it. Hopefully I never have to go there again since I was having very violent thoughts towards him. lol. So Kirst and I go back to her place, but unfortunately Kirst forgot to get her keys from Wes and he went up and passed out and we were locked out for the night. He would not wake up or answer his phone so we had to sleep on Ross' floor, which was no fun.
Sunday we woke up and went back to try and get into her apartment, but Wes still wouldn't get up, so we (well I) had to pay some old man $70 frickin' dollars to come open the door with a key to the room. I was not happy about that and am still a little upset at Wes since he never really apologized to me since I had to pay the money. Oh well...so we finally got in and then Kirst and I went to IKEA and got her a new bed and came back and put it together. After that we just kinda chilled and watched a movie which was really nice.
Then of course today I had to leave to come back home. I hate making the drive home because it is the loneliest 6 hours a person can experience. I mean from the moment I leave I miss her because I'm just sitting there for 6 hours by myself. There were a couple times I got tired and my eyes shut, but luckily I made it back safely. It was such a fun weekend. I think Kirst and I were able to get much closer over this weekend which is good for us. I'm really starting to feel more confident that we can make this distance thing work. As least for me, I know that all I want is to be with her. She just makes me happy and that's one thing I'm missing here right now.
I mean I like U of L and the people, but I feel so lonely. Like I just walk around campus, feeling alone. Hopefully things get better, but right now that's how it feels. That's why I enjoyed this weekend so much, I didn't feel out of place or alone. Oh well, we shall see how that turns out.
