The holiday
Wow! That was some holiday! Got back from Sitges at 3pm today and slept till 10pm! Came from 25 degrees back to 9. It's really freezing here, but I don't care one whit. I had such a fabulous time - great food (and booze), a beautiful apartment, lots of wandering around Sitges, which is a beautiful place, quaint and hilly with great shops and lovely places to sit outside and eat and drink. Didn't like Barcelona, found it very impersonal and big, and grey. Loved Gaudi's cathedral though, and the harbour is rather nice, but give me Sitges any time. What a wonderful birthday present! We moved around too much to get any colour, but the sunshine really did me good, and we've vowed to go back as soon as we can. It's so weird to be wearing fleece pyjamas and fluffy slippers after sitting up till 5am in a light skirt and sleeveless t-shirt. Lovely to get back to Andrea again, I missed him. And so to bed, leaving cases unpacked and the place in an unholy mess. Who cares!
