so, don't know where to start...
having a great time in missouri. definitely thinking of for sure changing my major to recreation park and tourism administration. just a few things to give you ideas for what my life is like now i guess...lol i don't know i will try to entertain you...
Got in a sandfight the other day with jimmy the quick witted englishman. we were given the job by our supervisor scott to empty out these tubs with sand in them, but had to distribute them evenly and not make the sand in clumps. needless to say we got extremely bored and eventually jimmy thought it would be funny if he would throw sand at me and get it all down my shoes...then at my hair and i did the same to him. lol all of our coworkers walking by were confused...never thought that a sand fight could be fun but it is.
gave a boat tour the other day-the lake was like a sheet of ice, not a ripple except for the ones that i was making with the boat. it was great.
got in a water gun fight the other day with kids, then dragged my supervisor in along with jimmy the englishman other unsuspecting people...
Roja, my german friend, started calling me cookie now since i made her good cookies and i remind her of her mother...she also sounds like the girl from super troopers-"i want one!"
lol
i now know how to make cotton candy, what the inside of a cave looks like, how to give cpr first aid and use a defibrillator, i have been inside a cave, i can drive a pontoon boat, i know how to shoot a 22 caliber rifle, how to translate many different dialects of english (new zealand, australian, south England, north England, welch) it is amazing how my listening skills have improved. like just the other day my roommate from new zealand, rae, asked "whats for tea?" and i answered lasagna and potatoes or something. before i wouldn't have known that she was talking about dinner, but now i do...
also, i am picking up an english accent.
am less afraid of bugs, and am used to encountering more spiders than ever before in my life.
i am also now used to walking up or down a hill wherever i go.
i know know where jupiter is in the sky, and where the north star is, and how to tell the difference whether a satellite is a mapping or commercial satellite.
i now know that Haribo are the best tasting gummy bears that i have ever had and that they are from germany.
i know that in england my hair would be considered porn star hair (laura and katrina, my two best mates from england insist that i wave it around in a pornish fashion.)
that hersheys really does taste like shit and that it isn't just me, other countries realize it is shitty as well...
i know now that doing immature things doesn't make you immature, it just shows taht you are happy and are enjoying your life no matter what (aka throwing someone in the pool)
- that there is a language in wales called welch and it is utter grossness.
-that americans talk extremely slow, and you can always pick them out because they are extremely loud everywhere they go.
-that horses have to be ridden around to get used to things they are not used to like chairs and such.
-that england has an extreme problem with immigration like we do, but are extremely more overpopulated than we are
