Apple Has Released New Line Of iPods

It seems that today, or within the past few days, Apple has released some new iPod products. They are as following:

The completely remastered iPod Nano -- these things look REALLY cool now! With capacities up to 8 GB now, it's also got a thinner design, increased brightness in the LCD screen by 40%, and a 24-hour battery life now (practically doubled since the original Nano). It also comes in all the old iPod Mini colors: black, silver, blue, green, and pink.

The newly designed iPod shuffle. It is now undoubtedly the world's smallest MP3 player, that's for sure. [Doesn't it kind of look like a Nano chopped in half?] In case you're thinking that iPod Video is heavy (at 4.8 oz), this thing will be literally unnoticeable, at a mere 0.55 oz, it's about 9 times lighter than the Video. And, this thing's got a whole gigabyte of space and only costs $79 -- that's ridiculously good for 240 songs, and you even get earphones and a dock with the shuffle; those alone cost about sixty dollars. [This model will be released in October 2006.]

And lastly, the iPod Video itself has had some advancements as well, though not as major -- yet. The 30 GB model boasts a screen with 60% more brightness, which has got to be fairly bright. It's also gone down in price: it's now $249. (I paid $285 for mine back in 2-2006, and that was a steal!) The 60 GB model no longer exists, for it's now 80 GB at the same price of the old 60 GB ($349). For full specification comparisons, click here.

iTunes now allows you to purchase full-length movies for iPods, at only $9.99 each. This isn't something I'm going to instantly seize, because I have other things to use my money for than iPod movies, but y'know, it seems like a good enough deal for what it offers. However, once the Video iPod (aka vPod) comes out, which will have a 3.5" diagonal display touch screen, it'll be highly worth it to purchase these movies or any material for the iPod because this supposed vPod will also host over 30 hours of music (and 6 hours of video), which will make taking the vPod in the car or on the go a must. I can certainly say I'm excited for the release of this! When will it be? I'm actually not sure, but within the next few months I'll assume. (Early 2007.)

I must seem like an associate of iPod or something, but I am simply just an enthusiast. Imagine how cool that vPod will be (though I'm not even sure that's what they'll be called.) I am definitely going to try and pick one of those up if I have the cash, 'cuz they'll be expensive ($499 to $599, I believe). Until that comes, my iPod Video will completely satisfy all my iPod needs.
