I may have stated it beforehand, but I honestly don't think I realized what I was getting myself into. Now that I've already plummeted head first into the finale of this school year, April and May 2006 will be the busiest months of my life.
To begin this saga of busy-filled days even more jam-packed than before, I have the next eight days upon me, with absolutely no “me” time whatsoever; I’m not even kidding. I didn’t necessarily think it was going to turn out like this. There’s just so much for me to do--so much that I’m a part of.
If I’ll make more sense to you, what I’m referring to is this: I have school every day-that’s a given. After school, I have track until around five o’clock or so. (Sometimes it runs later than that, especially meets.) Tomorrow, I have “Seussical” pit orchestra rehearsal from 6 - 9 PM, and again on Wednesday.
The aforementioned will basically equate to being gone from home around seven or eight o’clock in the morning, and not getting home until a little after nine o’clock at night. Not to mention TODAY, I was gone from 8:00 AM - 9:45 PM. Two more days of this madness, and I have something else up my sleeve.
I leave (with the band) for Disneyland on Thursday. We got our full itineraries today, which leave us with a fully planned four-day trip there. There’s no doubt that this trip won’t leave me with one of the most fun and exciting weekends of my life, but it’ll thoroughly push me to the limits. Saturday (4/8), for instance, is 8 AM - midnight in Disneyland. It’s funny to think my “cabin” members won’t stay up all night, because I’m sure they will; just a hunch.
We arrive very late on Sunday (4/9) night, back in Brentwood. The following night, the East County Concert Band has a performance-yes, another one. Not until April 10th will I be free. Then, Power & Light will probably take a bigger priority, as well as “Seussical” rehearsals.
Oy vey. I need to make sure I manage my time with intelligence. More on my “interestingly busy life” in future updates, as this one’s random and sporadic. By the way, if you haven’t listened to Lucas and me discuss peeing in French, you should
check it out. It’s guaranteed to give you a few laughs…!
