Comparing Tahoe '05 & '06 / Interactive

Hey everyone, I'm back!
Since this journal's been so freaking inactive lately, I'm going to change that, fo sho. But first, I'll tell you a little about the trip.

Sierra-At-Tahoe was incredible. Derek and I were fortunate that both days turned out to have unusually good weather, making conditions very enjoyable. Unlike the last trip to Tahoe with Derek [3-2005], which was completely blizzard-filled and wind chill temperatures of less than zero degrees, I enjoyed Tahoe a lot more this time.

It's kind of funny, because that summary of the last Tahoe trip depicts this trip pretty well, except that we got full days of skiing/snowboarding on each of the planned days. Just like the last trip, we went to the Horizon Casino in South Lake Tahoe, NV and enjoyed the scrumptious all-you-can-eat buffet for $11.95 per person.

We hit the arcade afterward, where Derek showed his DDR skills off to an audience of nearly fifteen people, it was pretty crazy. We got to witness a few other DDR-obsessors as well. I tell you, it's an interesting predicament: at how much time he spends with that game, sometimes it's beneficial.

The thing that I like about this trip is that I hardly spent forty dollars on what would have resulted in hundreds of dollars on just my part. (It was Ms. Radtke's treat, since Derek owes me so much for things in the past couple of months.) All I had to do was buy the second day lift ticket ($24), arcade games ($10), and a few other random things I can't remember.

What they treated me to was: a ride there and back (gas money plus the wear-and-tear of the car), complete condo accommodation for two nights, the first day's lift ticket ($52), and three or four restaurant meals. I'd say I am pretty fortunate to have gone along on this trip, considering the total of all these costs.

I've obviously got more to say about the trip, but I don't necessarily feel like updating any more right now. I'll go back to what I was previously attempting: to get this journal more interactive.

Let's see... what did all of you do while I was gone? Got any pictures to show me? Any thoughts following up my Tahoe trip(s)? Plans for the future? Kids? A wife/husband? Gimme the shimmy.

~Chris
