I didn't have enough time to update last night, much less that I was incredibly exhausted. I'm slowly realizing more and more everyday how much of a humongous commitment I've accepted for
everything that I'm a part of. All of these activities will take a huge amount of effort and dedication to make them worthwhile, which is something I probably didn't realize at first.
Let's back things up for a minute, though: I mentally wrote in my head that the one word to best describe all of yesterday was AWKWARD. It basically describes everything that occurred that day. Parts of zero period were awkward, because I tried to get there on time, but I had to finish something up at home; doing an assignment in chemistry with the people at my table was awkward; aspects of P.E. were awkward; being the last ones into the track meeting was awkward. In a jist, a lot of it was awkward.
What do I mean when I use the word "awkward", you ask? In my mind, it is a word that describes embarrassment, an uncoordinated or inelegant situation. When you take a joke too far, and people say, "You killed it," that's awkward. When you had assumed you were doing it right all along, and you realize that you were wrong, that's awkward. It didn't affect me too much, but I just noticed lots of things yesterday were awkward.
Then there was the rehearsal for Urinetown, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM last night. It was originally going to be at the rent house, but the power was lost, so we had it at Liberty's choir room. Time flew by, as does it always in rehearsals like that. We got a whole lot done, we look better than a few weeks ago, and more of the band was there: JD was playing drums and Ash was playing bass. I still have a lot of practicing to do, though.
It finished at 8:00 PM, and then a friend of mine called me once everyone else left. We talked for almost half an hour, and then I went into the ensemble room to practice the "Urinetown" music. I was in there from about 8:45 - 9:30 PM. I called my mom to pick me up, wanted to go to Panda Express but they closed at 9:30 PM, so I ran into Safeway and got some very random things: a pickle, bagels, macaroni, doughnuts, and Fast Breaks.
Back at home I watched some TV [That's So Raven--I love that show], ate the food, and a little after midnight I was so exhausted. I did all my nightly errands and quickly fell asleep. That leads me to this morning: I woke up at 11:00 AM, had some Special K and a doughnut, and here I am. The rehearsal is at 1:30 PM at Will's house, so it looks like I have a little time to practice, but not much. May all these future rehearsals go well, I say.
