I am all set to put forth myself into a peaceful state of continuous slumber. It has been so easy to get into a habit of steadily doing night rituals lately, which is really good. I am using my new dermotologist prescribed medications, and although it does seem to be taking affect, it comes with a price. It's only my fourth day using them, but I am sure that they will help me achieve optimum results.
For Christmas, my Aunt Carol sent us a CD of all the pictures (around 120) that she took at her niece (and my cousin) Marissa's wedding. Most of them turned out really good, so I've copied them to a location on my Maxtor external hard drive (F:/). I have my whole life on that drive, seriously. It's got the past four years of documents, pictures, files, chats, applications, you name it. I've got numerous music collections on there, including a complete 20 or 30 GB copy of my 500-album collection, thousands downloaded, and ones from friends. It's got my whole 7 GB "PowerShot Pro 1 Archive" on it, and lots of other huge space-taker-uppers like videos, documents, and other things of that nature.
I'm using up about 110 GB on it, and I've considered a few times what I should do with this compendium of information. What if--Heaven forbid--it crashes? I'll need a back-up plan, ironically enough as that is THE back-up. The music's currently on my mp3 player, and I do have the CDs; that's reassuring, at least. But only about half of my pictures are copied onto discs. I should take all perishable data and put it on our home computer's hard drive; it currently has about 175 GB free. That would ease the worry that inhabits itself in me whenever electronics malfunction.
As for today, I woke up very late--though peacefully--at noon. I got a couple of bowls of cereal while watching "Full House", and then checked a few things on the computer. My favorite episode of that series is now the one I saw today, episode #4.11, called "Secret Admirer", which premiered December 7, 1990. It's about where Rusty, the son of Cindy--the woman Danny's dating--writes a love letter that gets around the whole house, confusing the lot of them into thinking certain people were in love with them. I found it to be very enjoyable, so I am logging my experiences here.
I got back to Elena and told her that we should see a movie today, and she informed me that Hannah has finally returned from her Disneyland cruise! We three-wayed on the phone from about 3:30 - 4:15 PM, finally deciding on a 5:15 PM showing of "
Fun With Dick & Jane". Hannah's dad picked me up, and then Elena, bringing us to the theatre around five o'clock. We got our tickets and I saved them a seat, since they were getting some food.
The movie started at 5:27 PM and ended at 6:52 PM. It was a rather short movie, but it was so good. Jim Carrey is amazing, same with Téa Leoni and Alec Baldwin. Not only was it witty, but it had lots of scheming which I found very interesting. Afterward, we walked all around the strip mall: to Radio Shack, Baskin Robins, McDonald's, and Starbucks, though we only purchased food from one of those locations. Elena's mom picked us up per'tineer nine o'clock and I found myself at home.
Hannah gave me a post-Christmas present, so thank you for that! I love the bobbly-fish and See's candy. While I've been home, I used the computer for about an hour, got ready for bed, and for tomorrow. I am planning on waking up early, even before six o'clock, so we can go skiing at Dodge Ridge. I am so excited, because I get to drive the majority of the way there and back. I have already prepared the majority of my CDs--I only need to burn a bunch of songs by The Starting Line and I'm good. It should be a lot of fun. I will report back how it turned out. (I'm bringin' my camera, too!)
