Highlights Of The Disco Lights Parade
Tonight, the Liberty drum line performed in the Discovery Bay Lights Parade. There were a few interesting twists on it this year, which made it substantially better, if at all you could say that:
1) We met at 3:00 PM (though the parade started at 5:30 PM) to start decorating our bell sets, drums, and snares with lights. We had special sets with little battery packs so we could march around with them.
2) Everyone wore Santa Hats, even though I thought the idea was pretty ghastly overrated.
3) Since Andrew had to pull out at the last minute, Joey played quads and Derek took the cymbol part in control. "He was pretty wicked," he forced me to write in this entry.
4) And afterward we went to Mountain Mike's for an all-expenses paid dinner. In the happenings of the shindig, I took uber amounts of pictures, and Derek won a little Cat in the Hat doll. I will add it to my doll collection, which is accumulating on top of my mobile wardrobe--I now have two in the collection :-D.
To make matters even more interesting, after Sharaya's dad dropped us off at my house, Shane was already idling the car outside of my house, honking the horn like a madman, shouting, "IS CHRIS THERE?!?!" scarying the 'bageebies' out of my brothers. Their departure was very vague, as it took numerous attempts to get rid of them. They kept driving back up the road, in search for me. (I feel so loved.) I brought our kitty Brownnose (a.k.a. Charlie Brown) to see Caitlin, and Shane honked the horn which scared the living daylight out of him. I walked back into the house and said, "Derek, they want to talk to you!" Upon stepping outside, he turned his head and completely banged it on the side of the door. Richard and Caitlin saw that all the way from the car and started cracking up! I witnessed it all to and it was the funniest thing I had seen all night.
LET'S ALL LAUGH AT DEREK'S CLUMSY STUPID RIDICIOUSLY AWESOME LOSERNESS!
(Don't worry, he actually wrote the latter part of the sentence, so it's okay to completely and utterly blackmail his soul on LiveJournal.)
And Caitlin, Richard, and Shane will forever rub it in his face if I bring it up again. Life is comical. Ahh! Fiona wasn't there. She's going to be reading this and be like, "WTF?" Good times, good times.
