Right now, I'm very content with the how the day has ended up. For the most part, I found it to be a great day with lots of different activities and things to do. I have a better understanding of how I'm going to go about doing certain things in the immediate future, and things are slowly progressing on the scale to more maturity, to say the least. That's a problem with some people nowadays. If people would take things more seriously, they would be able to approach their problems easier, and use themselves to perform whatever it is with flying colors.
Quick analysis of day:
Morning: (6:45 AM - 11:20 AM) - woke up and ate breakfast; finished up my essay; and got to school and made it to first period on time. Movie made me fall asleep; passed a note to a friend; and Spanish class was fun and productive.
Early-afternoon: (12:00 PM - 3:00 PM) - got lunch for Derek & I; the tots and hamburger was awesome; and chilled around the band room. Worked on my essay in English and corrected Preston's; reviewed Unit 12 in AP Music Theory; and finished first for both melodic dictations.
Late-afternoon: (3:00 PM - 5:30 PM) - hung out with Leah after school and mildly practiced Showcase piece; school was evacuated for "bomb threat" and walked to library; talked and fraternized inside until about 4:15 PM; and then went ouside to talk to Kristie, Illa-ann, and Eva. Associated with those people, taking some pictures, frolicking on the playground until about 5:00 PM; found out Derek was already at my house to practice, so Illa-ann went way out of her way to give me a ride home, which was completely awesome.
Evening: (5:30 PM - 7:30 PM) - started practicing with Derek, though he wasn't taking it too seriously; had spaghetti for dinner at six o'clock; practiced a little more, made some decisions on the piece. I called Bruce to inquire about community band, and said I'd call back at seven o'clock to hear the update. Derek and I practiced a little more, and when 7 PM rolled around, we did had band, so we arrived in for it.
Night: (7:30 PM - 9:30 PM) - practiced some Christmas songs in sectionals, then as a band together. Derek didn't say a word on the car ride home--must have had thoughts racing or something. Now I'm here.
I am going to practice some of my pieces after I finish this update. I still want to become the best I can be, but that will take time and patience. If I set my mind to it, I'll be able to conquer that, though.
I realize that I hardly ever do homework at "home," I'm not even joking. I very rarely will crack open a text book to actually DO an assigment outside of school, I'm so used to this easy curriculum. Next semester, however, I'll have Chemistry and Algebra 2, so I'll have more homework. I'll be more responsible then, so it'll be no big thing.
Tomorrow, I am going to finalize my plans for my birthday. There's a rumor that marching band is right after school, which is suspicious. If it is, that'd be great, if not, I'll just hang out after school or something. I'm not really expecting any presents or anything tomorrow, and I hate to say that after my birthday I'm going to have all these ideas for what I could have done, but as long as it's satisfactory, it will be perfectly fine. I will will will have a get-together, but it'll just be post-birthday, no biggie.
Darn, I'm sleepy right now--that sucks. I want to play piano, finish my essay, and just chill out. I may have to tank it early tonight, though. I'll get something to eat--I'm hungry, that will fuel me. Auditions are tomorrow; I'm a little nervous, but I'm sure I'll do fine. Day after that it's my birthday--things are going so fast!
