My Gracious Farewell To You All
I guess this is a good time to tell you all that...
I'm not going to be online until Friday (10/7).
Reason being is that I'm going on a camping trip with my cross-country team for this whole week, and I'm leaving Brentwood in about an hour and a half. This morning's gone really fast, but I've been productive to say the least. I've changed the sheets on my bed, so that's all good; I'm getting my laundry done; both cameras have charged batteries and empty memory sticks (Taiki's borrowing my old one); things I'm going to be using on the trip are being prepared; I'm going to have a nice little outing away from the computer by doing this.
I just realized yesterday that since we're going camping, there's a very small chance that there will be outlets available. There may be, but I doubt it. The only things I'd need to charge would be: (1) digital camera battery; (2) cell phone; (3) mp3 player. Those things have batteries that will last me the whole day if I use them constantly, but not 4-5 days. I'll have to make sure I can pace myself and only take 300-400 pictures with my camera for the whole trip--so under a hundred a day to make sure I still have batteries. I was going to buy another one, but they're $40 and would have to be ordered online. My cell phone will be fine--I'll just basically turn it off when I don't need it. As for my mp3 player, it's got a 12-14 hour battery, so I'll be fine if I only listen in the car rides and when I'm bored.
Things are winding down, though. I still have to completely PACK everything (since my laundry load is drying right now...), and put it in my duffel. We're also going to go to Target right when we leave so I can get an air mattress. I hope it's under $100... that'd be good. I wanted to update about this past weekend--how my soccer games went, hanging out with Leah, P&L, Panda Express, but that'll have to come later. Other than that, I hope I have a great trip, and hope all my fellow Libertians and Heritigians have a great first week of break while I'm gone!
