Amber Pacific / "Konstantine" / Smoothies

Interesting day, today was. I feel like an idiot for not going to the Cornfest, though. There would have been fireworks, bands, entertainment, food, people, hot girls attractive feminine specimens, many things of which I missed, as well as the woman who sung the national anthem A capella--that's always amazing. Oh well, last year I spent it with one of my best friends, so that is going to account for this year's non-experience too.

I'm completely loving the band Amber Pacific. They freaking rock. I got all five members of the band to sign the $10 CD I got at the Warped Tour. Too bad they didn't get a stage to perform on. Their website's incredibly impressive as well. I hope to see good things from this band in the future--they're going to soon be among my faves (Fall Out Boy, Matchbook Romance, and The Starting Line).

It's amazing how fast the taste of music can change in a person. A couple of months ago I didn't even know who Matchbook Romance is, and now I have a shirt of theirs, tons of songs' lyrics memorized, and have seen them live in San Francisco--how cool is that?

Speaking of music, I purchased my Green Day tickets today. [Concert: 9/24/2005 @ 7 PM.] I really hope they're worth it, because it's about $111 for two tickets, and they're way high in the stands at the SBC Park arena in San Francisco. I really hope they're worth it (I'll reitterate it again). It's a whole freaking lot of money for tickets, one alone is over $55... and that's how much I have to pay my mom; whomever I go with is going to reimburse me, obviously. It just goes to show how early you should get concert tickets. Never wait until the last minute unless it's all festival seating (like New Found Glory was). You'll find some disappointment in what you had expected to be great.

Wow, extraordinary music, I say. "If I Fall" by Amber Pacific is completely awesome, and piano-driven. I am loving this music.

I looked through and completely viewed the entire lyrics to Something Corporate's "Konstantine"--my favorite song of all time. Andrew McMahon is my hero; seriously, he's amazing. An incredibly vocalist, pianist, composer, band member, and probably a great person overall. I hope one day I can be as good as him at piano.

One last random note: my mom got a smoothie maker and it's freaking awesome. I had an orange-mango smoothie tonight and it was incredible. With the vanilla extract, strawberry yogurt, frozen mango chunks and orange juice (not to mention milk and ice cubes!), it made for a nice blend. In fact, I'll have one before I go to bed.

I'm going to conk out soon. Camp gets me wanting to go to bed soon (we were relatively asleep around midnight each night). Big day tomorrow--I'm gonna go to the Brentwood Cornfest 2005. I haven't planned on who I'll go with, though, so that kind of sucks. I need to do laundry too. Man, I really should have been productive, but oh well. I can only do my best.

I do too many of these random text updates... I wish I had a more likeable LJ... but as I keep saying, oh well, it's the best I can do, and I need to have high and positively optimistic hopes for the future. That being said, we're onto the double digits of July, be safe, kids!
