Aww, that's okay. At least I know you were like that when you were my age. It's so very unmotivating and tiresome to be surrounded by people who are nothing like me at all. At least I have my friends here and my dad, who is a history geek.

THEY DON'T KNOW WHO GEORGE WASHINGTON WAS? And they're in colledge? And they're from the U.S.?*vomits*

Oh yes, he was talked about in a laserdisc we watched in physicks class. You know, lift and air density...

Gah. I'm too tired. It's not all of his letters, but it's a good deal of them. The collection has some of his courting letters to Abigail and he is quite the gentleman. I get all squirmy when I read them. They truly were the perfect couple. The only real OTP. The book also has his letters to Jefferson and some others. In one of his letters to TJ he lists the reasons why Jefferson should write the Declaration. It's really funny the way he words it.

Of course I like biographies and other non-fiction! I read McCoullough's book last summer. Definately one of the best biographies I've ever read. I highly recommend it.

I get all happy when I watch historical films. Especially when there are some really nice costume shots.

Oh goody goody gumdrops. I can't wait to read it.

Right now I'm reading Marie Antoinette: The Journey by Antonia Fraser. You must be reading that one, too...? On Monday my English class is going to check out The Merchant of Venice, my first Shakespeare EVER. I'm excited.

I have not, unfortunately, but I also plan to read Tom Jones or something else of the sort. Actually, I've flipped through my mother's copy of Common Sense before, but I haven't read through all of it. I want to read more 18th century scientific and political pamphlets like that sometime.

Oh yes, I think about that, too. I also don't much care for too much T.V., as I explained in my profile.

No, I have not! Thank you for giving me that website.

Thank you for wishing me luck!

Your little part on screaming out the inaccuracies of period films made me laugh. XD I don't do that so much as my father, but nevertheless I am also guilty of doing that. Yes! You should definately see Marie Antoinette. It's quite a beatiful film and it's very accurate, but there are some historical no-no's in it, as well. It's really a piece of art.

Don't worry! The delay did not offend me. I understand that anyone over the age of 12 has a very busy school life, etc.

Oh yeah. Reading social satires (whether written at the time of the event or after) are great informative readings, too.

I wanted to be a zoologist when I was nine or so. How so alike my friends are to me here! I'm so glad I have a LiveJournal. I would know NO ONE who was like a me at all if I hadn't made one. But that's besides the point, here.

Good luck with your Egyptology. I plan to see you on the History Channel excavating a tomb with Mr. Hawass someday.

Oh, I know. I hate how people are so unmotivated and apathetic towards history. That's the main reason why I don't want to teach. Nobody would care and I know they'd treat me horribly. Talking behind my back and whatnot. I hear the children at my high school insult teachers behind their backs. I just don't do well with idiots.

Thank you, my friend, for your reassuring words.

I've had a friend tell me here about a future for me working in a museum, too. I'll think about it!

LJ is great!

Oh, yes! Very much so. Just look at our correspondence. :D

The computer is one of the few modern things I love. I mean, really, we would never have met each other if the computer (and the internet!) hadn't have existed. And no one has time to hand-write letters anymore. :P Actually, I do have a pen-pal who I write actual letters to...

Your

Lily Adams.

Oh, I don't think I'm a good enough writer to do that. Maybe. I usually am just good at writing the robot stuff. Just the facts. And I don't think I could go to all that trouble and write writing non-fiction.

It sounds astonishing! I'll buy a copy when you publish it. ;) It does sound rather confusing, but all of the best books are confusing. Hence why my my friends loathe classic literature. I Don't know what there problem is. I love to be intellectually stimulated! Anyways, let me know how it's going on every once and a while.

No, I have never read Washington's Spies. That looks quite interesting, too. So many books, so little time...

My apologies for the tardiness of this letter.

Lady Neferankh,

I have been alright, thank you. :)

I usually just finish the book because I don't want to miss anything just incase it actually gets better. But those are rare occasions.

I don't really have a summer reading list. I just know I have a whole stack of books under my desk because I ran out of room on my shevles that I need to read. I know I'll also have required summer reading because I'm taking English Honors and World History Honors next year. Doesn't bother me a bit.

Oh, thank you! I can't wait to read it. :D

And the same wish to you,

Lily Adams.

No problem. I like getting e-mails. :D

I've never heard of it! That is so cool. I'll take a look at it, thanks!

And to you as well.

Your

Lily Adams.

Oh goody, goody, gumdrops! I can use that to force myself to translate the words. Thanks! I really should get cracking on my Latin. I know how to correctly pronounce Ceasar, wee. Plus some other stuff. I'm planning to study my Latin quite a bit over the summer.
