This post was never about judging or predicting. It was my own personal intial reaction to a truly horrific event that I would never wish upon anyone. In my mind, the whole situation just seemed so overwhelming and I didn't know how to react other than my gut feeling. Yes, there was human error not only in responding to the threat beforehand, as well as poor execution in recovery afterwards. Many other people have commented about different scenarios that I had left out or not realized and they have very valid points that I respect.

However, no amount of speculation in the world changes the pain the people feel, or the loss they are enduring. Hiding behind a Thomas Hobbes book or complaining about the goverment doesn't change anything either. Like I ended before, that's neither here nor there. The fact is, there's much to be done and I encourage anyone who reads this to donate their money, their blood, their heart, their time, into helping make this situation better as quickly as possible regardless of the reasons that the need exists.

It's not about the politics, it never was. Making a catastrophe into a political, race, wealth, etc. issue is the foolish action. What I said in that post wasn't meant to change what happened. I used my actual actions to make a difference.
