Christmas is coming....
In only 9 days!!! Yes friends, we are in the SINGLE DIGITS! WOOHOO!!!!!
I have been busy making cards and gifts, shopping, and had our Pre-K Christmas party today. I'm feeling sorta guilty because my mom and I just got home from the mall and from Khol's, and I feel like we spent ("we" meaning "she") too much. I haven't had a new coat since I was in 8th grade. Seriously. I've just grabbed my sisters' coats and jackets when I needed one and then claimed them as mine. Ha. But I decided that I wanted a new coat, and so I took the gift card from Jessica and got myself 2 coats. That's where the guilt creeps in. I should have only gotten 1. But, they were all on sale at least half off at JCPenny's and when I used the gift card from Jessica, and then the sale on a really cute leather jacket, I only ended up spending $30 for that jacket. It was normally $300!!!! So that's a huge bargain. But then I wanted a dress coat also for church and for different "events" that my mom and I like to dress up and go to, so I got that also. My mom told me I needed them both. Oye. So I've got 2 new coats that I love dearly, but are eating away this huge pit in my stomach. At Khol's my mom bought me a new sweater, and then I bought myself these super cute pants that look like a skirt....I know I can't explain them right, so I won't attempt. But they'll be PERFECT for days when I play the organ. It is SOOOO much easier to play the organ in pants than it is a skirt.
Anyhow, I really am super excited about Christmas. I'm just starting to feel selfish, which means it's time to go and work on more gifts for various people and see if that helps somewhat.
(2 new coats after 12 years of no new coats isn't so bad, is it???)
