Hobbies
I need a new hobby. The only hobbies I have are reading, puzzles, scrapbooking, ceramics, and piano... that I can think of anyway. Nick has a ton, so it makes it easy to go shopping for him for gifts and such. He keeps saying he wants to get me something too instead of me spending so much on him (just got him a new golf driver and shoes... got him a little RC helicopter last month... etc) but I dont even know what to tell him except for piano music. We went to Deseret Book to shop for me... I got a temple calendar and two books. *sigh* Like I said, I need a new hobby. Nothing he does really interests me.
Golf just frustrates me, my par is about double what the hole's par really is...
RC cars *shrug* I can play with for 5 minutes but after I've done it once, i'm over it...
shooting is expensive and I dont have my own guns so I'm just using his and we can't go out to do it often...
RC helicopters are fun but they only last 15 minutes and once I learn how to control it there's no challenge to it anymore...
models are hard to find cuz he likes them all a certain size and I dont get into cars and planes so I dont find them fun...
I know nothing about working on cars though he says he can teach me but the weather is so hot lately it's not worth being out there for hours and it just doesnt interest me, I dont get into it like he does...
racing is too dangerous with the car I have and I dont know how to drive stick so I can't use his car and I dont want to embarrass myself if I race where he does with everyone else, there are women out there but I'd be dead last every time, I just enjoy riding with him on one of his runs...
collecting cards, if anyone can describe to me the point in it I'd appreciate it...
He wants to find something we can do together. I enjoy playing the Wii sometimes but he hates the Wii. I finally got the Tiger Woods Wii game and he really likes that and wants me to play with him, but unfortunately I'm not any better on a video game than I am in real life. Golf just frustrates me too much. Maybe I just need to learn more patience. But we found one Mario game we can play together and we enjoy that and do that every once in a while, he likes to put puzzles together with me... but we want something new. Something we both can do and enjoy. He kinda likes photography, so I tell him he should start taking a lot of pictures, and I can scrapbook them. But he says we can't really do that together. I want to get into painting, he doesnt like doing anything artistic... but then he wants me to do models with him because I want to get into painting.
*sigh* I looked up hobbies online, most of them are like card collecting and models. He does both. I dont find the point in either. Maybe I just think about stuff too much. I just dont know what to do.
Can anyone help me?
