So this weekend down in Tucson I burned my finger. I'll tell you how I did it.
Jill and I were making a demo centerpiece for her wedding reception and we were using hot glue. Well I was squirting out one gun and waiting like a minute and playing with it. It would stick to my finger and kinda be hot but it wouldnt burn me and i could just peel it off no problem.
Well I squirted out the rest on the other gun and Jill asked me what would happen if I touched that glue. I told her it might hurt a little bit but it wouldnt burn. And I decided to show her.
... yah.
My mom forgot to tell me that each gun was a different temperature...
It burned so much! It hurt so bad. So I get off as much as I can, but there was a layer of glue that was stuck to my skin. I couldnt take it off without peeling off my skin. Well almost immediately I could see a blister coming. So I put it in water and everything and everyone was laughing...
Jill was all "I'm the one that's never used hot glue before and YOU are the one to get burned" haha. It was pretty funny actually. I was laughing at myself.
Anyway. It was burning for quite a while. I would pull it out of the water and 10 seconds later it was unbearable pain again. But when I went to bed I just grit my teeth and slept through it.
Well today the blister had no juice in it so I peeled off the skin of the blister. The skin underneath is bright red. And there's another smaller blister on that layer. And it started to burn again. To the point I had to put it in cold water. I got a band-aid and covered it and it seemed to be better.
But I've never had a blister underneath another blister. In my dictionary that falls under the "not good" category. It was a pretty bad burn. Does it classify itself as a 3rd degree though? If it burned under 2 layers of skin? It's a really small area though. So I dont know.
*shrug*
:) Good story for the 'remember when' though :)
