Damn it, not again.
LONDON, July 21 (Xinhuanet) -- The bombings on Thursday were almost a copy of what happened in London exactly two weeks earlieron July 7, but luckily only one people was injured this time.
The scene in London was identical: sirens were heard all over the city, police helicopter hovering above central London, and police visible everywhere, and people hustling around trying in vain to call their relatives and friends.
At around 12:45, blast hit in central London's Warren Street tube station, where one man was reportedly hurt and then explosions or attempted explosion were found in two other tube stations and a 26 route bus in eastern London.
People evacuated from the tube stations were puzzled as to what had happened, and police were busy with cordoning off traffic about 200 meters around the tube station.
A waitress at a Chinese restaurant about 250 meters south of Warren Street Station said that "nothing seems to have happened as people were still enjoying their food."
A photo journalist who claimed to be a correspondent for a newsfeature company was smart enough as to cycle all the way to the site, beating the traffic jam upon the incidents in central London.
"There is a lot of police activity -- police cars rushing to this scene but no ambulances, which seems to give one the impression that there have not been many serious casualties here,"Duancan Kennedy a witness at Shepherds Bush station said.
Explosions or attempt bombing were found at underground stations of Warren Street, Shepherd's Bush, Oval and a bus in northeastern London's Heckney area starting from 12:445 to 13:30.
Tony Blair, who was scheduled to hold a joint press conference with the visiting Australian Prime Minister John Howard turned up at about 15:50 urging Londoners to be calm and get back to business as normal following a series of minor explosions.
At his Downing Street news conference, Blair, alongside Howard, said, "We can't minimize incidents such as these, all I would liketo say is this -- we know why these things are down, to frighten people and make them anxious and worried." Enditem
