Summary/Plot: Akanishi Jin is the next heir to a multi-billion company owning quite a large industry in Japan’s economy and his father wants him to get married before he will take his place as the chairman of their company. Jin proposes to his girlfriend, Erika who came from a noble and rich family but she declines the offer because she thinks their still too young to get married (they are 24 by the way) and because she doesn’t want the life of someone being in the spot light all the time, so Jin is left with nothing but to marry her childhood friend, Kozakura Miyu who is a famous super model/actress/musician.

“Jin-kun…wait a minute will you?” Miyu called out to the man she was about to get engaged with. She kept running after him as they go around the mall to buy things needed for their up coming engagement, and with her high zip vixen heel shoes and pink ballet ruffle dress, she tried catching up to him. “Hey! Wait a minute…” she called out again, almost tripping on her foot as she continued to ran after him. “Why wouldn’t you stop?” she cried out as she was finally able to catch up with him and so she grabbed on his arm and hold on it tightly so he can’t leave her side again.

Jin remained quiet, not even trying to look down on her who was now clinging on his arms like a koala clinging on a eucalyptus tree. He was annoyed, he knew she was just trying to act normally with him since they were about to get married but still, he is annoyed with her for some reason.

Miyu eyed on him and pouted at how cold he was, sighing softly she let go of his arm and stopped walking. She watched him walked continuosly inside the elevator. Tears welling up her eyes, she stood there hoping he’d come back for her when he realizes she was no where near him.

The doors of the elevator closed shut, and she can’t see him anymore. People stared at her, gossiping and murmuring. They all knew she is going to be engaged with the richest bachelor in all of Japan but she seems not to be happy about it, they are all intrigued.

She sighed, she waited for 5 minutes…then another five…but he didn’t came back for her. She let a tear fall of her eye as she looked down on her aching feet. “Why am I even waiting for him to come back for me…he doesn’t care for me anyway…Stupid Miyu…” she pouted and slowly started to walk away when suddenly she heard a soft but deep voice call out for her.

“Miyu…”  the voice called out.

She was hesitating it was him but then decided to look back and to see who it was, hopeful it was Jin. A few more tears dropped off her eyes when she saw him standing there and looking at her. ”Are you crying?” he asked noticing the droplets of tears that fell on the fabric of her clothing but Miyu just shook her head and let out a small smile.

“Then why didn’t you followed in the elevator?” he asked with a blank expression.

She was happy he came back for her but still she can’t see through him. It was saddening. “I…uhm, my foot was hurting so much already I couldn’t walk anymore so I decided to stop and rest for a while…” she replied timidly and didn’t dare to look him in the eyes.

“Do you want to go home now then?” he asked.

“No, we still have a lot of things to buy right? Don’t mind me…I’m okay…” she faked a smile and hid her aching expression.

He remained silent, he kept his eyes on her. “I can tell you’re not okay…I’ve known you for so long now so I can tell you’re lying to me…I can see through you clearly…” he said and walked closer to her. Her heart pounded faster as her eyes grew wide at the sight of him walking towards her. People watched them as if they were shooting a drama in the mall, but Jin didn’t mind at all.

“Well…I’ve known you for so long as well…but why? Why can’t I see through you?” she suddenly burst out, Miyu herself was surprised with her sudden confession.

“What do you mean?” he asked and kept an eye on her.

“I…I mean…why are you so cold to me after you asked me to marry you?” she asked and looked down, not wanting to keep eye contact with him. “Aren’t you dating Erika-chan? Why not ask her to marry you then?”

“I don’t want her to be miserable…” he replied and looked away as well, “I don’t want to trap her in this life we are in right now…” he continued.

“You…don’t want her to be miserable? What about me then? Is it ok if I get miserable marrying you then, as long as she’s happy?” she cried out in surprise with his answer, “What am I? A cover up?”

“I didn’t mean that…aren’t you used to this life anyway? Being watched by everyone around you, being the talk of everyone…aren’t you used to it?” he asked back.

She can’t believe it, how could he tell all of  these to her. Her tears flooded uncontrollably out of her saddened eyes, “Don’t you think I can get tired of this life I have right now?” she asked, “Don’t you think I have feelings too? That I don’t want to be miserable as well?” she asked crying her heart out in the middle of the mall.

Jin was silenced, he didn’t know what to tell her. “Why am I being stupid anyway to believe you’d care for me? You’d never care for me…I’m not Erika…I’m way different from her…and I will never be her…I guess I was stupid enough to like you…I’ve always been in love with you Jin…since junior high…but I guess…marrying you is just a fantasy that will never be a reality…” she said resentfully as she removed the ring Jin gave her a few days ago.

“Go find yourself a girl that is emotionless Jin…someone who would love to have a miserable life with you…” she said crying as she hand him back the ring.

Jin stood there with a surprised look on his face as he watched her walk away from him, everyone who was watching them were shocked as well. “Mi…Miyu…” he stammered and kept his eyes on her back as she continued walking away as tears kept falling off of her eyes.

**flashback**

It was a warm and beautiful day for Akanishi Jin as he waited by his parked car not so far away from the stunning and tranquil beach for his girlfriend, Nakajima Erika. Jin stood there with a soft smile on his face as he held on his hands, a small box containing a beautifully made ring. He watched the waves crash towards the sand in the shore as lovers holding hands and cuddled up close together walked pass by him.

His heart pounded hysterically as the time passes by. That moment was the very instance he’d propose to the woman he loved so much, that day is going to be the most romantic, unforgettable and very especial moment for the two of them.

“Jin!” a soft but sweet voice of a noble girl called out from behind him and Jin did not hesitate to look back at once to see the face of his beloved.

“Erika…” he called back out and smiled softly as he watched her walk graciously towards him. He hurried and hid the box in his hands and softly cleared his throat. “Glad you could make it…” he said tenderly.

“Of course…I missed you so much that I didn’t hesitate to come and see you…” she replied with her sweet smile plastered all over her face, “so, what seems to be the emergency?” she asked and leaned on the side of Jin’s car.

“Mmm well you do know I’m the next heir to our company right?” he asked and leaned on his car as well.

“Yes…why, is something wrong?” she asked again and looked up at him with worried eyes.

“No…nothing’s wrong…it’s just that…Dad wants me to get married before I can take over the company…” he replied and looked back at her.

“Oh…” she mumbled with a hint of sadness in her voice before she turned to glance out at the sea, “Who…are you…marrying then…” she asked not looking at him, afraid to see the look on his face when he tells her the name of the girl he’ll be marrying.

“Her name is Erika…” he smiled and knelt before her, “Nakajima Erika…” he continued and  presented the small box to her, and he opened the lid up exposing the beautiful ring. “Will you marry me, Erika-chan?” he asked dearly with sincerity glimmering in his lovely eyes.

Erika remained quiet for a moment, she kept her already tearing up eyes pinned on the ring Jin was holding out before her. It was so sudden, she was caught by surprised. She didn’t expect Jin to call her out there just to propose to her. She was touched. She was more than happy, but it was all so sudden. “I love you Jin…” she started and looked down, pulling him up so he was standing already. “But don’t you think…this is so sudden?” she asked and biting down her lower lip.

“I don’t think…we’re ready for marriage yet…I don’t think...I’m ready to be your wife yet…” she mumbled and looked up at his saddened visage, she knew this was coming. She knew he would be hurt, “I’m sorry but…I can’t…marry you…yet…we’re too young…and I want to do a lot of stuff before I get married…and I know…once we get married…everyone will keep an eye on us…and we won’t be able to move freely…I don’t want a life like that…I want to be free and I want a simple life after I get married…I’m really sorry…but…I can’t…” she said and slowly walked away.

She knew staying there wouldn’t help the both of them, she just turned down her lover and now she knew he’ll have to marry someone else and not her.

“Does this mean…we’re over?” he asked loud enough for her to hear.

Erika stopped walking for a while as a tear dropped of one of her already welling up eyes, she turned to look back at him with a soft smile on her face, finally letting her tears fall off her eyes knowing that it is really over for them since he’ll have to marry someone else now. “I don’t want to but…we have to…don’t we?” she asked softly and ran to hug him, “but you will always be here…in my heart…I’m sorry…” she cried out gently on his chest.

Jin placed his arms around her small frame and nodded, tears falling off from his eyes as well. “Yes…we do…” he said softly and kissed the top of her head, “You’ll always be in my heart too…always…”  he mumbled softly and let go of her. “Goodbye then…” he said bitterly.

Erika nodded and backed off, wiping her tears off before leaning up to kiss him for the last time. “Bye…” she said bitterly as well and ran off.

**end of flashback**

“I hate that man…” Miyu cried out as she stomped her way out of the mall, “What the hell is he thinking anyway?” she whined, lips pouting when she suddenly tumbled on the ground of the parking lot. One of her heels broke; she got her foot sprained and her knee was scraped in the accident. She bit her lower lip hard as she tried to get back on her feet but fell down again. She watched her knee bleed. It hurts. It was throbbing painfully like her heart. She can’t stand up and no one was in sight to ask for help. “Now what?” she sighed and buried her face in her hands.

And to her surprise, she suddenly felt her body escalating from the ground and she was surprised to see Jin carrying her in his arms. “What happened to you? You’re bleeding.” he asked worriedly as he carried her towards his car. Miyu was surprised, she was speechless and her eyes were pinned on his worried face. ‘I…I can see through him…though it’s a bit…blurry but…I can read his face already…’ she thought, her arms draping around his neck as she buried her face on his neck. Letting her tears flood off her already swollen eyes.

“I fell…” she said softly and Jin laughed a little. “Why are you laughing?” she asked and pouted childishly.

“You still act like a little kid…I missed seeing you cry like that…” he smiled softly as he let go of her so he can open his car.

“You’re mean…” she pouted more.

“I’m sorry…” he said softly as he turned to glance at her pouting face.

Miyu watched him for a while, “It’s ok…I missed the mean Jin anyways…” she giggled when she suddenly felt Jin’s arms around her body. “Jin…”

“I’m sorry I never noticed your feelings…I was too numb and selfish…I’m so sorry…I didn’t know I was hurting you for so long already…” he spoke as he hugged her tighter.

Miyu’s tears continued to flood off her eyes as she lean her head on his shoulder, “its ok…I understand…” she smiled and hugged him back. “Well at least you know now…right?” she said softly and let her head rest on his shoulder.

“Will you give me another chance?” he asked and held the ring up before her again, “Will you start over again with me, please?” he asked and looked at her eyes as he wait for her reply.

“Yes of course…I would love that…” she smiled and let him slid the ring in her ring finger again. Jin smiled and leaned down to kiss her.

“I’ll make your fantasy be a reality…” he smiled and hugged her again.
