(looks at clock) Waaaaaah! I was just at work already today? Why do I have to go back? ;_;
Though seriously, it is kinda funny once you think about it. When we go home, it's not a 'see you tomorrow' kind of thing. It really is a 'see you later', because we're back at work the same day we clocked out.
One day that might be different is Thanksgiving. Sue told us that they're only having us work a half day then. O.o That confuses me. Don't see the point, really. Not to mention the fact that it'll seriously cut into our holiday pay to the point that we won't even be making as much as we would working a normal day. Grar. I'm hoping it's optional. Not that I wouldn't love to go home early and all, but I think I want a little extra money in my pocket over that.
That said, I'm busting my ass for all that I'm getting. We had to ask for help with the truck yesterday. This gives me great fear for the rest of the week. Billy is still on vacation, so there goes one set of hands. And nobody knows where the hell Aaron is. He wasn't there on my days off, wasn't there yesterday, and hasn't called in. I find that really peculiar. Hope he's all right.
In the meantime, I angst about not having enough people in the backroom. We lose Jacob on the twenty-second (coincidentally, this is when Billy gets back from vacation XD), but thankfully they got a replacement. The guy from the deli, Cameron, shall be joining us. He's a lot nicer than Jacob. :D
He also told me something weird at lunch yesterday. They hired eight new part-time associates for the Deli. O.o What the crap? Okay, I can see them maybe for the holidays, but I think I'd be more concerned with getting extra stockers and ICS people or hell, cashiers over Deli people. And hey, I understand if they need them. But eight? That seems a little excessive to me. We don't even need eight people, though it'd be nice. Maybe after the holidays, they'll send half the lot back over our way. XD
(sigh) And the clock draws ever closer to when I must go. Alas. I better go get dressed and pretend sleep is unimportant.
