I is getting lazy with my LJ. Which is odd, because it's the site I'm most on in any given day...
Anyways. Work is both at its most awesome for me while simultaneously making me hate it. I say hate it because with my crew dropping off like flies, we're growing more irritable with one another and nothing's getting done to the point where for the first time ever I want to quit (the ICS team, not my source of income, kthnx). I say most awesome for me because with everyone being gone, management continues to look upon with far more favor than before.
Heh. And some of my other co-workers. Kathy tried to be in charge on Sunday and that pissed Donald off. Every time she suggested something, he kept turning to me right in front of her to see if it sounded like a good idea. XD
Still, I really hope they get us some new people soon. They seem to have acknowledged that we're short handed finally, at least. Then again, the entire store is. And I mean everyone. We went from having eight assistant managers to three. O_O Naturally, those positions are starting to get filled right away though. The assistant manager over my department has already been replaced even. He seems nice. He's also supposed to help us get this new unloading program going that apparently all the other stores are starting that is a) supposed to get our trucks done faster and b) give us more work to do. I am uncertain how this will happen, but apparently it can be done, so I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
In the meantime, we're all dying. Both Billy and Donald went home sick at some time last week (or just didn't show up at all), and by the end of the week Patrick was moving slower because he too wasn't feeling good. Neither was I, for that matter, and I'm not any better. My sinuses are killing me, and on top of that I got the bug the rest of my crew was sharing. So now I'm sneezing like mad and coughing whenever I do more than relax. But I think I've used all of my sick days for this quarter... >.
