What most energizes you when you need motivation? Is it a song, mantra, or person?

I read a personality profile from an astrology book that fuses chinese sign's with western astrology sign's. I am an aries/goat. The description is startlingly accurate. "The gentle Goat side of Aries/Goat wants to lie in the sun and dreams of greener pastures and happier days, while the vigorous Aries tugs persistently on the Goat's tether urging, "Get up! Hurry! Make that phone call. Finish the lunch dishes. It's time to bake a cake now. You forgot to write that important business letter." Poor old lazy Goat doesn't have a chance in this busy person's life." This is my life. Energy manifests from any source that motivates me to get it all done. The Great Spirit allows me to rise in the morning. Getting out of bed is difficult, but I am motivated by the sun or by my husband who can wake first thing after a long night. Often when I need motivation I think of others who undergo much more than myself. For example, a single mother with three children and a full time job. Music is a principal motivator, it energizes as well as calms me, which in tern motivates me to concentrate. Food energizes me. I'm a real bitch if I miss a meal. The more appealing a meal, the more motivated I am to get to it. Ultimately, I'm motivated by the rhythm of my own demands and obligations. Their is always more to be done, so I must keep it movin'.

Why does it work?

These methods work because they inspire me. They work because part of me is really lazy and really wants to do nothing. In order to reach that point all this other "ish" must be done. It also works because it promotes discipline and according to, and I agree, "Dead Prez" "Discipline Makes Life Easier".
