YOU HAVE BEEN COUNTED!!!
html hit counter code This is the personal journal for Ian Anon.
Inside are some ramblings, some recs, & some rants
from yours truly.
Who am I, you ask?
Good Question!
I write Harry Potter slash. I started writing
fanfic with the Australian TV Show: The Tribe, writing
my version of what I would have liked to see
happen with Season Six (the show was cancelled
after Season Five). And no, I won't direct you to it,
so don't ask! ;wink; (it was really bad!)
So I guess the other thing you need to
be aware of is the nature and content of
my journal and my stories. So here goes:
Can't get any more succinct
and to-the-point as that, can I?
You can read my stories in various places.
Story Arc Primer
Up until recently, I've been more into small little mini-series.
3-parters, 4-parters and the like. The first one I wrote was
Eyes on the Prize.
Set during Goblet of Fire era, Draco starts to realise
just how cute Cedric is. And he can't decide which to
seduce first: Harry or Cedric. That decision is made for
him when he sneaks out for a 'booty call' with another one
of my personal favourite Gryffindors and stumbles across
Harry and Cedric doing... well, each other, really. I really
enjoyed the fic, even though it was a devil to write. But with
the patience and skill of my beta, Lisa, I finished it!
One of the mini-series ficlets I liked most was
... like riding a broom ...
It's basically a 'slashing' of canon during the Goblet of Fire, particularly
between the time Harry informs Cedric that the First Task will entail
dragons and the day before the first task. I like it because it was the start of
me doing something that I rather found I enjoyed: taking a tertiary character
(or one we don't know much about) and creating some kind of plausible,
believable background; give that character a real, true voice. The background
I give Cedric is used again in my
Goblet of Fire AU Deathfic WIP - Goblet of Treachery.
Which leads to the next recommendation, the
Goblet of Treachery.
Yes, yes, it's a WiP (work in progress), but if you like Harry/Cedric,
then you'll like this story arc, even though there's a large smattering of
Harry/Colin and a little bit of Harry/Charlie (the poor lad's hormones are raging).
It's told from a first-person Harry-centric POV for the most part and is my
attempt at adding a sense of 'soap-opera' to slash-dom.
Finally, I recommend another WiP of mine that gets updated
fairly regularly (at least once a week). It's a Marcus/Oliver story
that also has a large bit of Oliver/Charlie.
Four-Lettered Words
Again, I'm trying to take two characters that everyone
knows, but we don't have much information about
them, and try and create a believable, plausible history.
As such, it deals with Oliver's years at Hogwarts, starting
with his first year and going on until graduation. It'll explain
how someone like Wood could fall for someone like Flint,
and vice versa. I also like doing this one because, due to
the time line of the story arc, I've had to create some
OCs (original characters) to be friends with Wood and Flint.
Obviously, in Wood's fifth year, Harry and Draco come to
Hogwarts, but until then, the main characters are Marcus,
Oliver, Bill, and Charlie (and of course, the young twins
a little later).
Well, that's about it for my fic-primer. I hope you stick around,
take a peek inside, I'm not 'friends-only' because I don't believe
in that. My innane waffly prolixities deserve public scrutiny!
Ciao!
Oh, and
friend me, I'll friend you back!
