revised grad school situation
So here's the original list, but with rejections and acceptances noted:
University of Washington, Seattle
University of Colorado, Boulder
University of Texas, Austin
Ohio State University, Columbus
Penn State University, University Park
University of Virginia, Charlottesville
University of Notre Dame, South Bend, IN
University of Oklahoma, Norman
Arizona State University, Tempe
It's kind of nice, because OU hasn't even decided most of the acceptances, but one of the professors I work for is the one selecting astro people, and so he told me that they had talked about it, and decided to accept me, even though they thought it likely that I'd go elsewhere, which I thought was exceedingly nice and very cool of him to tell me.
Virginia had the same deadline as UT and CU, and even before PSU, so I'm expecting to hear from them any day now.
ND had a deadline of Feb. 1, so I could hear back as early as next week, but probably a little later.
I did ASU's application yesterday, so needless to say, I don't expect to hear back just yet.
