"Damn."
Reid squinted his eyes against the unexpected light attempting to penetrate his defensive eyelids.
"Another dreamless night." He thought, a dim smile pulling across his face. He forced himself to get out of bed, this was, afterall, his last day before returning to the BAU and he needed his body to be prepared for the early awakenings ahead of him. He stumbled clumsily out of his bedroom, flicking the light off on the way by. Bitter irony played through his mind as he realized just how much of his life was spent in darkness these days. "Leave it to drugs to get over Nyctophobia."
He flicked on his coffee maker before making his way slowly to his shower. His stomach gave a pleasurable squirm as his eyes took in the comforting site of the bottles of Dilaudid, a syringe, and an orange tourniquet strewed over the bathroom counter, sweet reminders of the night before. He showered quickly, downed a cup of coffee, and began to get dressed for the day. He couldn't really remember the last time he had left the house, but he had to meet with Hotch today so as to prove that he's ready to return to his job. As much he had enjoyed his leave, mostly consisting of short days spent getting high, he needed work. He only had so many books in his apartment left to read, and his mind craved stimulation. After all, he hadn't really needed it over the last couple of months.
He wasn't exactly craving it, but the thought of shooting up was definitely appealing. Although he knew that the dumbest move on his part would be to show up to his meeting stoned out of his mind. Instead, he compromised. He would shoot up just enough to feel it in his system, but not enough to lose himself completely. Once he had slid the needle out of his arm, his spirits lifted, he slipped a bottle of his drug into his messenger bag before heading out.

So I haven't written in a very long time, but I was sort of randomly inspired so I wrote this. I'm planning on making this multi-chapter, but it sort of depends on my muse.
