Woke Pain
I can say for a fact that for most people, certain things cannot be taught by any method other than experience.
If you have experienced severe back injury, you will try to education others about Stuart McGill’s methods. They will not listen. I have never experienced a single person who has listened, until they have personally experienced severe back injury. And if they encounter moderate back injury, they will learn only moderately - they will still not understand. People, for some reason, have to be completely physically incapacitated by back pain before they will listen to reason on this issue. I suppose I was the same way.
It is the same with value investing I think.
And it will be the same with woke and politically correct politics I think. People who lean left will continue to embrace the new woke politics, until the left shifts further left and comes for them and their family. Just as the politics of Trump, as George W Bush pointed out recently, is in the end about the raising up of a single man, the end result of woke politics will be ever more selective, until it is about just the chosen woke few. I can deal reasonably with many people on both sides of the aisle who are from the center.
