Nike, the old school hypocrits

I guess consumer brands latching onto social movements has always struck me as quite likely hypocritical -  but cases like Nike really lay the case bare -  doesn’t it seem like an awful coincidence that whereas in the case of a social stand with BLM, their bottom line probably is improved, but that they are strangely silent on the repression of the Uighur people, which would undoubtedly hurt their bottom line?  I think the only conclusion that can be drawn is that, at best, they feel genuinely about social issues, but only act on them when it is good for their bottom line -  and at worst, they are nakedly opportunistic but easily coerced?
