Fucking fucking FUCKERS!!!!

There are some things that are private. For example, my grades. Anything legal that I do in the privacy of my own home. Who I voted for. Stuff like that.

However, this apparently does not include A RECORD OF MY FUCKING MEDICATIONS!!!

That's right - for those who didn't realize it, HIPAA is about as useful as a bucket with no bottom. What has set off this profanity-laden tirade? Direct advertising from Glaxo trying to get me to buy an extended release form of a drug I take. Not a common drug, mind you - a drug that no one has any business knowing that I take except my doctor, the pharmacy that fills my Rx, the insurance that pays for it, and me. Glaxo has no business having this information, right?

Unfortunately, this is legal. HIPAA allows release of information to all of the above-mentioned entities, law enforcement when legally required, and "business associates", including drug companies. You can request that your MD/insurance/pharmacy place additional restrictions on who can have your information, but they are NOT LEGALLY REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH YOUR WISHES.

Thanks so fucking much, you mother fucking bastards who trashed the original HIPAA regulations, and an extra-special FUCK YOU to the pus fucking profiteers who decided that I (and anyone else on the list they sold to God knows who) don't have the right not to have sensitive, confidential information kept private.

FUCKERSFUCKERSFUCKERFUCKERSPUSFUCKINGMOTHERFUCKERS!!! If I knew who you were, I'd dig up every piece of shit on you that I could (legally) find and plaster it all over the fucking internet, in newspapers, and on billboards across the country. I'd tell your spouse and your kids. I'd tell your (soon-to-be-ex)friends. I'd tell your life insurance company. I'd post a sign on the subway you take so that everyone around you would know who they're riding with. Oh, I'd also send it to your boss. Hope someone sells your drug info to the company you work for, you bastards.
