I don't even know when I last updated this thing.
Short answer: I ran a search on my time logged since 11/1/05 through today (3/21/06) - you know, exactly 20 weeks - and found out I've logged 1006 hours. That's over 10 hours per day on average for almost 5 months. That pretty much answers where I've been. I'm just really happy I have a window in my shared office. And I'll be ridiculously pissed if my salary only goes up the same amount it did last year...I want a full 10% raise or more.
No news about the new car - it's just not in the VOMS yet, so no dealers want to make any deals yet. Or, at least, none of the ones I've talked to thus far.
We think we found our next apartment.
Woodland Glen is what we want. I mean, how can you go wrong with an attached 2-car garage?! There's an availability on August 1 (one tenant is moving out in July), so we're probably gonna put money on it to save it. Downside: it'll cost me $90/month for every month I've lived in my current apartment to break my lease before September 31. Meaning if we move in on August 1, it'll cost me $900 to break my lease (that's assuming I don't have to cover August and September's rent as well).
Lisa's dad actually complimented us to my dad. My parents sent them a local paper with our picture in the engagement announcements. Her dad called my dad and said we look happy together. Lisa and I were stunned. I think we're still speechless, but happier nonetheless.
I recruited another Halo fan - I talked him into reading the Halo trilogy. It took him 2 weeks to get talked into it, buy the books, and finish all three. Now I debate bringing in my Xbox to work so I can show him the Halo2 pre-game cinematics (of course, I'd have to hook it up to my car...).
My former TL is hilarious. We were at his house for a St.P day party and they were all trashed by 11. When we left at 1:45am, he hugged me, a couple times. In fact, I'm pretty sure he kissed Lisa's cheek, then mine. I'm gonna not remind him of that, ever. He also just learned from me today how his screen door got broken - another guy I work with got thrown out through it. 30-year olds playing DDR very well, people lighting their fingers on fire with Rumplemitz, it was a great time!
I need to eat - I'm hungry.
