Howdy, folks.
A good afternoon to all y'all. Here's a little weekend update if you were thinking about getting your Sopo on.
SATURDAY SHOP HOURS HAVE BEEN CHANGED!
We will open at 2 pm (instead of 1 pm). We will close at 5 pm as usual.
AND THEN..
Pedal over to the Urban Gardener for their Energy Independence Day event. We have been invited to speak on cycling as a means of energy conservation. I don't mind flying solo, but I sure could use a co-conspirator, dancers, back-up singers, a beatboxer, a trackstander, or whatever. AND FINALLY..
L5P community member and Criminal Records employee Shannon Mulvaney needs help with medical bills, so Criminal is putting on a benefit at the Earl on Saturday night. Since Criminal Records is a huge Sopo supporter, we're kicking in a free bicycle tune up for some lucky silent auction winner. The benefit should be a good time.. lots of bands and fun things to bid on, including dates with Criminal employees (and I think that's just hilarious). Speaking of Criminal, they're sending kid-friendly comic books our way, which we can use as prizes or incentives for the kids we work with. I'm hatching a small-scale literacy plan. If that's your bag, let me know. I think we can do something really supercool!
