Long story short: I take after my mother.

*holds up grey cat* Meet Iruka. He's part of the family now.

Longer story? Some compleate and utter jackass at Alex's building moved away. And deliberatly chucked their cat out so they didn't have to take it with them.
I, being my mother's daughter, am compleatly unable to let a cat starve. Or even go without a loving home. I suppse I'll have to learn that hard lesson eventualy, since two cats is very much the limit of what I can afford. Comic books? Ha! I can afford no comic books now! (well, maybe two a month, but that's it) Luxeries? no. :D canned soup for me for the rest of this month! W00t!

Marie actualy very much wanted to have him, and I was ready to give him to her quite happily. Sadly, they a) have a hamster and b) Isabelle's parents are. . . Isabelle's parents, and would have pitched a fit about her having a cat. Because, see, Isabelle's dad and sister are alergic to cats.
No, Isabelle does not live with them.
They wouldn just have been pissed off because then they wouldn't have been able to sleep over at Isabelle's.
Yeah.

So. Iruka = mine.

Grandad knows, and is utterly non surprised. Thank God he adores me so much. I was. . . well. It helps that the first person in my family I tell is supposrtive, you know?

My parents don't know yet. e.e; la de dah. . . hum de dah. . . They get told when they come back from Briar! :D this is what happens when they don't take me camping! I get another cat! Ah ahahahaha! *wild, crazy laughter*

*sigh* I am actualy very much dreading telling them, but, well. I won't hide it. Thing is, by the time they'll have gotten back, I'll have already sunk a good eighty one bucks into this animal for a veteraniran checkup so, well. *shrug* Iruka is staying. Besides, mom was ready for me to get a dog. XD; The Powers That Be evidently disagree with this, and want me to have cats.
Personaly, I think the Powers That Be are actualy named Morag. I wouldn't be surprised to find out our first cat (with whom I very littleraly had a psychic bond) is watching over us and sending us kitties. It's something the old hag would do. Morag was a beautiful old tabby cat, and she was quite the matriach. Looking after the family by making sure we have the proper amount of felines is well within her scope. :D I often joke with dad that she was very put out with my parents for wanting a dog, and so sent them Hinkly the walking shag rug to discourage them.

Interesting note: Though Alex doesn't think he's been neutered (the vet'll be checking that for me Monday), he's missing all but one claw. Either something nasty happened, or he's been purpously de-clawed. *shrug* If I'm really lucky, the vet recognize the animal, and I'll get his health backstory, but it's very unlikely. Due to his stray nature, they consider him unvaccinated, hence the eighty one dollar price tag on the animal.

So yes. Description of Iruka: average sized, very sweet, compleatly grey shorthair. Black nose, delicate tail. Big green & yellow eyes. It's funny that he's grey. . . I happen to like coloured cats, especialy ginger ones, with big copper eyes. Or, heck, tabbies. I love tabbies. XD Instead, I get one black and white and one grey. LMAO. I am destined to never have the 'dream' cat.
Not that I care. I adore both of them. Big sweethearts, the pair of them. And I am incredibly greatful for them. Skuz, who came to me on Christmas and helped me through Grandma's death. And Iruka, who is helping me through the utter lack of yearly camping trip (which holds a bigger part of my heart than most people realise) and my final year of college. I'll need both of them, I think.

So far, Iruka and Skuz have an actualy pretty decent relationship. They meow at each other through the bathroom door, mostly (since I have decided to keep them seperate until vet time - Iruka's been a stray, after all) and though they might hiss a bit, they don't actualy have a full fledged fit when they see each other. And believe me, after Kizmit and Heera (my parents cats), I am very capable of spoting a cat fight. These two are just curious. And since they're both sweet tempered animals, well, I think they'll get along just fine. I'll ask the vet for advice on how to introduce the two of them to each other. And, well that's that. XD;
