What the hell did I ever do to deserve this? I moved here in Feb 06 by june of 06 someone had obtained my capital one information and charged almost 600 bucks on my account. I finally got all of this taken care of

Who has your credit card number on file? If it's BMG than I would definitely look in their direction.

That totally sucks. Did you order from your own home computer? Wireless connection? I got ripped off twice by a ring. One was Moscow, where they somehow got my info from a CC transaction online. It was years ago and I don't remember the specifics, but from later reports that I read in the paper it seemed that they had taken a huge number of accounts. The other time I got ripped off, I had tossed out a Safeway receipt. This was almost 10 years ago and they still ran the whole CC number on the receipts. I can still see this guy standing near the exit watching me. I really think he was spending some time there to fish receipts out of the trash, 'cause later someone went to a Mall in in the East Bay and charged a ton of stuff at a Sears. Total inside job at the Sears store, running charges with no card, just the number.

That sucks that Capital 1 jammed you up on your legit cahrges and let all this other crap go through. I hope it gets cleared up quick for you.
