Hey - a first fic!! I really enjoyed this - Gene and Sam are just so... well, Gene and Sam! I could just see Sam beavering away at his desk and going behind Gene's back because he knows it will get results - it's just the sort of thing Sam would do. And the gentle romance is very refreshing.

I hope there'll be lots more fic from you!
