The last week has proved a little bit difficult. This situation that I've gotten myself into is requiring me to make several specific lifestyle changes, all because of money and no transportation.
Now I know how it feels to have no personal transportation, to have no means of traveling more than two miles without waiting 20 minutes for a bus. Regarding money, I now have a real responsbility to pay half of my rent, and other utility bills. I don't think I've ever been really legitimate with this in my dealings with Roxy and Nora, until now. But that's a good thing.
Living in the new apartment with Abe is a bit stressful. Our work hours are completely different, so while I'm trying to sleep in the living room at night, he's playing guitar or watching TV after he gets off of work until 5-6am. My only way of getting to sleep is with an MP3 player or sleeping pills. And I really have to negotiate the sharing of space. I have a desk. That's it. No bed, just a spot on the sofa. It should be a little more equal, somehow, since I am paying for half of the space.
I had court today, which went pathetically. A bunch of us young criminals were gathered into a room to make our pleas. While the majority were offered deals for taking a diversion class or paying a fine, I was told to just plead not guilty and go to pre-trial. So my next court date is November 13. That adds at least another month and ten days in which I can drive again. Fuck. I might ask Jeff to put the old Chevy in my name so I can drive it. They didn't take away my license, so I don't know why I can't drive! I have to figure that one out.
As far as smoking goes, I'm going to have to cut it down to rollies and mersh, 'cause that's all I can afford for now. Oh well... Shit happens.
I need to find a new job. Or find another job on top of landscaping. At the this point, school is looking a bit further away, but I'm not quite sure about that yet.
