Hello my fellow friends,
Today, lets chat about the events past few days.
As you all know this Monday was All Hallows Eve or Halloween. Also, the day I scheduled my car for its 45k mileage checkup. My mom is still surprised that I’ve had this car for 4 years and am already at 45k while she’s had her car for 8yrs and is only at 60k. It is the funniest thing ever. I keep telling her I’m a young person and have a life….not usually but sometimes I do.
Sorry off track so car had a checkup. First, breakfast where I saw the Asian sushi man dressed as a California surfer with an interesting lumberjack beard and hair all one piece mind you which was kind of funny. I saw a knight from Spamalot, a vampire girl thing [which I’m sure she only dressed up to wear the SICK contacts], Supergirl costume being worn by a woman who should NOT be wearing things like that, biker chick, and an older woman wearing an ‘I don’t know what it is’ costume.
So we were at store and now we are at car checkup place and now that we are here I might add that I saw someone dressed up as MARY POPPINS!!! Like I told my friends she probably was Mary and I also might add that I wanted to hug her SO bad!!!!
Found out car was fine and dandy. She will live a LONG life if I have anything to say about it. :D
I didn’t really go out and do anything but I did manage to hand out candy with a new friend I made of our Artist in Residence. She’s a cool chick that girl. There were about 200 trick-or-treater’s CRAZY. We had to run like the wind when we ran out because they were still coming. Handing candy out in front of my work building, a historical building, not our best idea but it was fun and cute. Worked really well.
The next day an event of EPIC proportions occurred. Two coworkers and I were talking down the hallway when we hear a loud water spilling noise. For a second we thought it was a pitcher of H2O that someone had possibly dropped but alas that would have been a cake walk to the reality of the situation. We looked further down the hall and I kid you not as the double doors to the hall were open all you could see was a wall of water coming from the celling 30ft up. This was my view…
Honestly that’s what it looked like. It was pure EPIC. Funny but not at the same time. I being of level mind, sometimes I surprise even myself, ran to the janitors closet to find buckets to have the water drop into. I managed to find 3 35gallon trashcans instead, better in my opinion becaue they are a LOT bigger than 5gallon buckets.
Turns out that someone from the construction crew had something to do with it, accidentally of course never on purpose. The pressure in the sprinkler system was too high something had to give and this poor sprinkler head was the one to do so. The celling is cracked. Its not made from dry wall its plaster. Something more EPIC than that was that the same day later that night my work had planned a ‘Day of the Dead’ event and now we were worried about people being killed by plaster falling on their heads…. OH the perils of our building. A coworker said ‘this isn’t surprising.’ Meaning things like that just happen to us. I mean SERIOUSLY!
The Day of the Dead event did happen and it was interesting and fun. Free food brings people out. There was folkloriko dancers which was really great. A nice band. Tons of people came out. The ceiling didn’t cave in so in my opinion it turned out great!
That’s really it. I did manage to stay up WAY too late watching episodes of a Telenovela I LOVED in my younger years. Girasoles para Lucia. DAYUM the main guy character in that IS HAWT!!!!
I also think it quite hilarious that I remember my love for these things at random times and look them up and find that the main actors have creepy mustaches. Like the kind you do NOT want to see on people…. Just a weird thought…. hehe
