Finally something has brought me out of LJ retirement.
I 'worked' Duckon for couple years doing the science track. I didn't do that good of a job, but I never felt pissed on by the track head or anyone else. Then there was last year. I was already on my way out and was thereto help out, really. Then the BDSM panel came along. The concom voted no, the board overruled us. I left quietly. Then a friend of mine was canned for not playing ball with the board. Even though doing so would put the con in jeopardy. Excuses were made at this year's con about how the con was being made more well rounded and not so tech heavy. (because the techies all left of were sacked) Now Jan getting canned. Duckon just blew the last thing it had going for it, a fantastic filk program. Yeah, stick a fork in it, it is done.
