i have not acted correctly toward my neighbors thus far. after i politely asked the neighbors to leave the building door shut, calling the landlord is the only other step i should have taken. my frustration with them obviously stems from my desire for the situation to be different (noble truth #2). since all sentient beings are connected, treating them with hate, anger and disdain was not a good choice. besides, zen buddhists are encouraged to accept adversity stoicly. kharma is most likely the cause of the suffering we experience. i realize many of you will disagree with me on this, and that's fine. i'm trying to be a good buddhist. enlightenment takes time.
